DescriptionChangi General Hospital (CGH) invites Vendors to submit a proposal for the implementation of a remote vital signs monitoring solution (herein termed as proposed solution) to enable the care team to deliver short-term home management of acute conditions in a coordinated, safe and scalable manner.

The proposed solution should serve to:
- Empower patients to measure their vital signs consistently via easy-to-use devices which require minimal instructions and training; reduce reliance on reminders from the care team
- Allow patients to realise benefits of being at home, while ensuring safety
- Improve staff productivity by consolidating information in easily interpretable user interfaces, pushing timely alerts / notifications to care team and allowing multi-disciplinary staff to access information relevant to them

Registration of Medical Devices from Health Science Authority (HSA)Vendor shall ensure that the medical devices, with the exception of class A and B, delivered on or after 1 Aug 2010 to 31 December 2011 should either be:

  1. registered on HSA Singapore Medical Device Register (SMDR);
  2. placed on SMDR Transition List ; OR
  3. cleared for import and supply through one of HSA Product Registration special access routes

From 1 Jan 2012, all medical devices, class A, B, C, D, have to be registered with HSA SMDR.
