SNEC Eye Clinic @ CGH (Ophthalmology)

Synonym(s):

The SNEC Eye Clinic @ CGH (Changi General Hospital) is a partnership between CGH and SNEC to serve the eye care needs of those living in the eastern region of Singapore.

In November 2016, a new partnership was formed to expand the repertoire of services provided by this clinic.

There are now two dedicated eye clinics – for subsidised and private patients.

Our Services

The clinic is staffed by ophthalmologists, supplemented by cornea, oculoplastic and vitreoretinal specialists. In collaboration with SingHealth polyclinics, same-day referrals are made possible if clinically indicated.

Clinics are consultant-led, with subspecialties that include general ophthalmology, cataract, glaucoma, retina (medical and surgical), cornea, oculoplastic, uveitis and neuro-ophthalmology.

This partnership between SNEC and CGH has allowed for development of multidisciplinary teams, such as the facial trauma team, which comprises specialists from ophthalmology plastics, maxillofacial and otorhinolaryngology services.

The clinic is equipped with optical coherence tomography (OCT), Humphrey visual field analysers, biometry machines and three laser machines, making it capable of carrying out most procedures. There is a dedicated day surgery unit which runs daily on week days and caters to wide ranging eye surgeries including cataract, vitreo-retina and oculoplastic surgeries to name a few. There is a treatment room in the clinic itself that allows for minor operative procedures to be carried out.
