A Reference Centre for Complex Endocrine Testing

The Shimadzu-CGH Clinomics Centre (SC3) was officially opened by then-Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, Mr Heng Swee Keat on 27 January 2021.

Then-Deputy Prime Minister Heng views the mass spectrometer, which detects and measures multiple test compounds in a single sample with greater accuracy, at the Centre.

SC3 combines the clinical and research expertise of Changi General Hospital with Shimadzu's analytical technology capabilities to advance precision diagnostics in Singapore and the region.

SC3 serves three complementary roles:

  • Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory
  • Translational Research Centre
  • Clinical Mass Spectrometry Reference Centre

Our multidisciplinary team develops, validates and implements laboratory tests that support earlier diagnosis, personalised treatment and improved patient outcomes.

Technology Platform – Clinical Mass Spectrometry

SC3 utilises state-of-the-art liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to provide highly accurate quantitative laboratory testing for selected clinical applications.

Key capabilities include:

  • Multiplex biomarker measurement
  • High analytical specificity
  • Superior sensitivity
  • Small sample volume requirements
  • Rapid assay development
  • Clinical-grade validation
