Changi Aviation Medicine Centre (CAMC)

Aviation Medicine concerns the health, safety, and performance of persons involved in air transportation and travel. This includes pilots, air traffic controllers, and cabin crew as well as air passengers and airport ground support personnel.

CAMC was established in June 2019 as a specialised resource for the aviation community in Singapore. As the first aviation medicine centre to be established within a restructured hospital, CAMC patients have access to a full range of clinical specialist services as well as imaging, laboratory, and other clinical support services offered at Changi General Hospital.

CAMC operates from the Civil Aviation Medical Examination Centre (CAMEC), which is located within CAAS’s My PEL Hub in Changi Airport Terminal 2.

Clinical Services

• CAAS Licensing Medical Examinations for Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 (Conducted at CAMEC)
• Flying license medical examinations for the following countries:
• • US (FAA)
  • Australia (CASA)
• Aviation-focused specialist assessments and management for pilots and air traffic controllers with medical conditions
• Fitness for flying assessments for air passengers with medical conditions
• Collaborative Health Achievement and Motivation Programme (CHAMP)
• Employee assistance and wel-being promotion programmes for aviation sector companies
• Workplace health promotion programmes for aviation sector companies
• Return to work assessments for aviation sector employees
