Our surgical, anatomical and consultative pathology services are offered by pathologists within the department. These services include:

Histopathology

• Routine surgical biopsies (gross and microscopic tissue interpretation)
• Specialised biopsies (e.g. liver biopsies)
• Intraoperative frozen section service
• Mohs surgery
• Immunohistochemistry
• Consultation services

Cytopathology

• Non-gynaecologic cytology including fine needle aspiration biopsy and on-site assessment of tissue adequacy
• Gynaecologic cytology (PAP smears)
