The Department of Laboratory Medicine offers a comprehensive range of laboratory tests for the diagnosis, management and prevention of diseases. Laboratory Medicine comprises a multi-disciplinary team of Anatomical Pathologists, Clinical Microbiologists, Clinical Chemists and Medical Laboratory Technologists / Scientists, who work closely with our clinicians to provide quality care to our patients. In addition to clinical service delivery, the Laboratory also actively participates in research and educational initiatives to ensure that we remain at the forefront of medical advances and uphold best laboratory practices.

The Laboratory has an overarching quality assurance framework and is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), demonstrating our commitment to delivering quality testing services. As part of this framework, in select circumstances the Laboratory may elect to use devices/reagents/consumables that are not registered by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA). All devices or reagents used will have been comprehensively evaluated to meet requirements from the Ministry of Health or other internationally-accredited standards for laboratory testing.
