Diabetes, Obesity, Metabolism and Endocrine Centre (DOME)

The DOME Centre provides specialist care to management patients with endocrine conditions and diabetes mellitus. It is staffed by a multidisciplinary team consisting of endocrinologists, bariatric surgeons, specialist nurses, dietitians and podiatrists.

Diabetes and metabolism-related clinical services

1. Specialist consultation for diabetes
2. Podiatry service for diabetes-related foot problems
3. Laboratory testing for blood sugar, glycosylated haemoglobin level and lipid profile
4. Fundal photography for early detection of diabetic retinopathy
5. Nurse educators for one-on-one diabetes counselling
6. Personalised dietary counselling
7. Obesity and Weight Management Clinic consultations for management of obesity and related conditions
8. Continuous glucose monitoring
9. Insulin pump initiation and follow-up
10. Regular self-management courses for patients with type 1 DM (Living with Diabetes, Diet and Lifestyle – LiDDLe)
11. Weight management program (CGH Sports Medicine Centre)

• On-site blood and urine testing
• Specialised endocrine testing including salt-loading test (outpatient), adrenal vein sampling (inpatient)
