Surgery

Surgery is a diverse clinical discipline that manages disorders afflicting most parts of our body. Our department deals with a wide range of acute surgical emergencies and elective surgeries performed by our team of specialists. We offer coverage with various clinical subspecialties such as trauma, upper gastrointestinal, bariatric & metabolic, breast, hepato-pancreato-biliary, colorectal, head and neck, vascular as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery.

In line with the recent evolution and popularisation as well as the advancement of surgical technique of our surgeons for minimally invasive procedures (e.g. laparoscopic/robotic) to treat specific clinical conditions.

Our surgeons collaborate closely with other disciplinary teams comprising of medical and radiation oncologists from National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), allied health professionals (AHP) and medical personnel from other disciplines to deliver care to our patients.

Our doctors are also actively participate in clinical trials and have numerous publications in international journals. Aside from clinical work, our clinicians are involved in various activities to promote medical education. This includes organising forums for the general public to maintain awareness while imparting up-to-date knowledge, teaching medical undergraduates as well as conducting hands-on workshops and lectures for healthcare professional in the region.
