Digestive Diseases Centre

The Digestive Diseases Centre (DDC) is a multi-specialty centre, providing management, diagnosis as well as treatment) of digestive diseases in a timely manner.

Our model of care comprises of two main aspects:

  • Medical Care: A multi-disciplinary and inter-professional care framework that results in an integrated and comprehensive care approach including both medical and surgical components, to better manage complex cases of digestive disease that encompass gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
  • Patient Experience: To create a “one-stop” experience, reducing anxiety, seeking to create better patient experience by better communication and timeliness.

Patients that are treated within the DDC are seen to by both the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology as well as the Digestive Surgery services of the Department of Surgery alongside relevant specialty nurses.
