Clinical Psychology

Clinical Psychology at Changi General Hospital (CGH) supports patients and their caregivers in managing a wide range of psychological conditions and emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, dementia, chronic health conditions, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in youths and adults.

Our clinical psychologists work closely with patients to understand their needs and provide personalised, evidence-based care to enhance overall well-being and functioning.
 

Our Services

Psychological Assessments
Psychological assessments at CGH provide a clearer understanding of an individual's cognitive functioning, including memory, attention and executive function. Our clinical psychologists also assess for neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism and ADHD in youths and adults.

Psychological Therapy
Working with patients to understand how thoughts, feelings, behaviours and past experiences contribute to their challenges, our clinical psychologists help individuals make changes that enhance their overall well-being and functioning.

Consultation-Liaison Psychology
Our team works closely with other medical specialties to support patients managing psychological aspects of chronic or complex medical conditions, including chronic pain, heart failure, bariatric surgery and more.

Community Programmes
We collaborate with hospitals, active ageing centres, schools and other community partners to extend psychological support to seniors, youth and others in the community.

Training and Supervision
Beyond patient care, the team nurtures the next generation of healthcare professionals. This includes training general practitioners and community partners, as well as supervising psychiatry residents and postgraduate psychology students.
