Harvest Analytics Together (H.A.T.)

Harvest Analytics Together (H.A.T.) is an initiative by Changi General Hospital that builds a community of healthcare professionals and partners interested in leveraging data analytics to enhance patient care, improve work processes and support decision-making in healthcare.

H.A.T. supports this community through learning sessions, knowledge sharing, project incubation and its flagship H.A.T. Day event. The programme builds analytics capabilities and encourages the practical use of data, data visualisation and digital tools to translate insights into improvements in care delivery and operations.

Programme Priorities

H.A.T. supports:

• Building foundational data literacy and analytics capability among healthcare professionals
• Applied learning in tools and methods such as Tableau, R and Python
• Data visualisation skills to communicate insights clearly
• Cross-disciplinary collaboration to identify healthcare challenges and develop practical, data-informed solutions
• Translation of promising ideas into solutions that can be considered for further development or deployment

Key Initiatives

Analytics Sharing and Capability Building

H.A.T. supports capability-building through sharing sessions, demonstrations and hands-on learning opportunities in areas such as dashboarding, data analysis and data visualisation. These sessions provide participants with practical exposure to common analytics tools and approaches used in healthcare. It also connects participants with a community to support continued learning and exchange of ideas.

H.A.T. Buddy Programme

The H.A.T. Buddy Programme introduces participants to the fundamentals of creating dashboards in Tableau or developing algorithms using Python or R through small-group sharing sessions. It also connects participants with a community. Participants also share use cases to support continued learning and exchange of ideas to discuss potential solutions.

H.A.T. Incubator

The H.A.T. Incubator provides a platform for participants to work on data-informed solutions to real-world healthcare challenges. Selected projects may be considered for further development or deployment.

H.A.T. Day

H.A.T. Day is the flagship annual event of the H.A.T. programme. The event serves as a platform for knowledge exchange on healthcare analytics, artificial intelligence and digital innovation. It brings together healthcare, academic, public sector and industry perspectives to share practical use cases, discuss emerging developments and explore how analytics can support better care delivery, operations and population health.
