Profile

Dr Alex Joseph is a senior consultant with the Department of Anaesthesia & Intensive Care at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He received dual training in Anaesthesia from India (MD) followed by specialist training at the London School of Anesthesia, UK.

Dr Alex has been an integral part of the academic and regional anaesthesia training faculty at the UCLH and Royal Free Hospital, London since 2008, and has been an organiser for the primary and final FRCA course, simulation course, advanced airway course and ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia course in London. He spent one year at the University of Michigan as Visiting Faculty in 2009. Dr Alex then completed a fellowship in liver transplant anaesthesia in 2010 from the Royal Free Hospital London following which he worked as a locum consultant at the Royal Free Hospital London.

Dr Alex joined the department of Anaesthesia at CGH as a consultant in February 2014. Since then, he has been contributing to the department by organising and setting up several local and international academic exam courses and is involved in a number of patient safety and innovation projects in the department. He is also involved in research projects involving education, preoperative risk stratification and cardiac output monitoring in theatre.
