Clin Asst Prof Jeremy Sun Mingfa

Dr Jeremy Sun Mingfa is a Consultant with the Department of Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH), and concurrently the Director of the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Service and Director of the Lymphoedema Service at the hospital. He graduated in 2007 from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore and subsequently completed his residency training in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

With a strong foundation in microsurgical reconstruction, Dr Sun manages complex head and neck, breast and lower limb reconstruction. He led a multi-disciplinary team in Tokyo under the MOH Health Manpower Development Program, specialising in the management of lymphedema and lymphatic surgery. Dr Sun was also awarded an international fellowship grant from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, which enabled him to train with noted plastic surgeons in the United States.

Dr Sun takes a keen interest in educating future generations of plastic surgeons as Core Faculty of the National Plastic Surgery Residency Programme and Chairman of the Programme Evaluation Committee. He also serves as Vice-Chairman of the Chapter of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons at the College of Surgeons Singapore and is an Executive Committee Member of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons.
