Endoscopy Centre

At the Endoscopy centre, we perform procedures such as bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage, transbronchial lung biopsies, endobronchial ultrasound transbronchial needle aspiration, pleural fluid aspiration and drains, indwelling pleural catheters as well as thoracoscopies.  These are performed to diagnose lung infections, lung nodules and suspicious masses for lung cancer, as well as the management of pleural effusions (i.e. fluid outside the lung) from lung infections and cancer.
