Established in 2002, Singapore Sport & Exercise Medicine Centre @ CGH (SSMC @ CGH) is the largest multidisciplinary sports medicine centre in Singapore. Equipped with the latest technologies and an inhouse gym, we cater to recreational as well as competitive athletes from a wide range of sports, such as golf, soccer, running, tennis, bowling, swimming, sailing, wakeboarding, scuba diving, performing arts, disabled sports, etc. We also provide exercise testing and customised exercise prescription for those with medical conditions, such as coronary artery disease (or heart disease), hypertension, dyslipidemia (disruption in the amount of lipids in the blood), diabetes, and obesity.

We use the latest diagnostic technology, such as bedside musculoskeletal ultrasound sonography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI scan), to provide quality medical care to our patients. This technology helps us make accurate diagnoses, so that specific and appropriate treatment can be carried out.

We are one of the few centres in Singapore to offer extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) for musculoskeletal conditions. Tools, such as video gait analysis and HELMAS testing, also help us to identify root causes of injuries and monitor recovery.
