CGH doctors on various medical conditions causing chest pains

​15 September 2020 - Chest pain is a symptom which can arise due to heart, lung or gastroenterology conditions in adults. Dr Yong Thon Hon, Consultant, Department of Cardiology, CGH spoke about the various causes of cardiology conditions that could cause chest pain. Dr Chew Wui Mei, Associate Consultant, Department of Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine, CGH highlighted the most common lung-related conditions while Dr Tham Kah Yee, Consultant, Department of Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine, CGH explained why the pain site is around the chest area although it can be due to a lung condition. She also shared the groups of people who are at risk of developing more sinister chest pain.
