I had recently completed my electrocardiogram (ECG) course when I noticed a patient in cold sweat and in pain one day. As the patient was exhibiting early symptoms of a heart attack, I decided to run an ECG test and alerted the care team. With prompt diagnosis and medical intervention, the patient was saved.

To me, nursing is much more than caring for our patients’ well-being – we save lives with our critical thinking, expertise and heart.
