Panitumumab is a targeted medication used to treat colorectal cancer. It works by binding to a protein called epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) on cancer cells, blocking the cancer cells’ ability to grow. It may be given on its own or in combination with other chemotherapy drugs.
Panitumumab is injected into the vein (given intravenously) as an infusion (drip).
