Oral methotrexate is a low-dose chemotherapy medicine, normally used in combination with oral cyclophosphamide for the treatment of advanced breast or advanced ovarian cancer.
It is a tablet taken by mouth. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine. Take the exact number of tablets and follow the dosing schedule as instructed by your doctor.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose.
Oral low-dose methotrexate generally has fewer side effects than intravenous methotrexate.

Do not crush or break the tablet.
If you overdose on this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.
