Overview
This is a full day course which aims to equip ICU practitioners with image acquisition and interpretation skills in the application of point of care focused cardiac ultrasound in the critically ill adult. The course will consist of a balanced mix of lectures, practical hands-on training with 1:4 trainer-trainee ratio and case discussions about the use of critical care ultrasound to assess haemodynamics.
Participants who are keen to pursue supervision and formal certification of their ultrasound skills are highly encouraged to register for this course. Our FUSIC® course is endorsed by the Intensive Care Society and Society of Intensive Care Medicine Singapore.
Learning Objectives:
- Introduction to FUSIC®
- Understand indications and limitations of POCUS.
- Develop practical skills to perform standard echo views.
- Interpret basic echo findings.
- Assess haemodynamic instability.
