Projects & Collaborations

Singapore University of Technology and Design

Healthcare technology is undoubtedly a necessity in today’s context. Changi General Hospital started its collaboration with the Singapore University of Technology of Design (SUTD) in 2013 when the first Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the then-Eastern Health Alliance and now-CGH and SUTD for Research Collaborations.

Over the years, building on the good relationship between both institutions, this partnership has been extended to the SingHealth cluster partners and expanded to include Healthcare Innovation, Education, Enterprise and three additional pillars in:

  1. Healthcare Living Lab;
  2. Vibrant Community and;
  3. Population and Preventive Health.

CGH’s Professional Education Office works with various stakeholders including inter-professional faculty within CGH and SUTD on education-related projects. A few of the many collaborations in the education portfolio with SUTD include, but are not limited to:

  • Internships
  • Student Projects such as Capstone, Health Product Design and student projects from healthcare related modules, etc
  • Courses such as the Data Science and Analytics Course and other healthcare programmes

Ideas and prototypes generated during the numerous collaborations have resulted in commercialisation and IP success stories.
