About

Dr Yam Wai Loon is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Urology at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He obtained his medical degree at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2008. He then went on to complete his residency training in Urology from 2013 to 2017 and was awarded the SingHealth Outstanding Resident Award in 2014. He passed the specialist board examination in 2017 and was the top scorer in the European Board of Urology assessment in 2017. He has a strong commitment to the teaching of undergraduates, postgraduates and Urology residents.

His areas of interest in research are pre-TRUS antibiotics, balloon dilatation of ureteric strictures and shockpulse lithotripsy for giant bladder stones.
