About Doctor

Dr Nita is a consultant with the Department of Surgery, Changi General Hospital (CGH). She completed her MBBS qualifications with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at National University Singapore and thereafter completed her General Surgery Residency training in SingHealth. Dr Nita obtained her fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018 and is now an accredited specialist in the field of general surgery. She has a subspecialty interest in treating hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions.

Dr Nita believes strongly in educating the next generation of medical doctors and she dedicates much of her time in teaching the undergraduate medical students as well as the post graduate surgical residents. She currently holds the position of physician faculty in the Singhealth General Surgery Residency Programme and the clinical tutor with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Her dedication in teaching has won her the Outstanding Educator Award at the SingHealth RiSE Awards Ceremony 2018.
