Dr Lim Kok Ren is presently a senior consultant surgeon and the director of the Colorectal Service with the Department of Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH). Dr Lim graduated with a MBBS from the University of Melbourne in 1999. He subsequently obtained his post graduate Masters of Medicine (Surgery) and MRCS with the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2004.
Following which, he completed his fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2011. Dr Lim then received his overseas HMDP fellowship training on pelvic surgery (open and minimal invasive surgery) and advanced minimal invasive surgery in colorectal conditions at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, New South Wales, Australia in 2015. Dr Lim maintains an interest in the fields of minimal invasive surgery for treatment of colorectal cancer.
Over the years, he has also served in various administrative and teaching roles within CGH, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Singhealth residency programme.
