Clin Asst Prof June Sim Guek Gwee

Besides her work as full-time clinical staff, Dr June Sim Guek Gwee holds several administrative appointments. She is the director of Emergency Medicine and Risk Management Safety, deputy director of Emergency Medicine & Research and Quality Assurance as well as vice-chair of the Emergency Medicine & Service Quality committee. At the institution level, Dr Sim is an active member of the Medication Safety Committee and the Clinical Quality Committee.

In the area of education, Dr Sim has previous experience as department coordinator for local and overseas medical student postings and electives in addition to being a SingHealth physician clinical faculty with regular teaching. She represents Changi General Hospital (CGH) at events and courses in the role of GP CME forum speaker, and instructor for courses such as ATLS and ACLS.

She has conducted research and presented her findings at both local and overseas conferences, of which, topics vary from clinical conditions, education and assessment methods to quality improvement projects. Outside of work, Dr Sim volunteers with several VWOs, helping to run regular free medical clinics locally as well as participating in overseas medical missions.
