Important Notices

2021

From 22 November 2021, an inpatient ward patient may pre-register 2 visitors for the duration of their admission, with 1 visitor at the patient's beside at any one time for up to 30 minutes, and up to 2 visits each day. This is dependant on vaccination status, and can be reviewed for specific groups of patients on a case-by-case basis. For critically ill patients, up to 5 pre-designated visitors are allowed, with a maximum of 2 visitors at the patient's bedside at any one time.

Visiting guidelines for the inpatient wards are as follows:

Fully vaccinated patients or patients who are medically ineligible* for vaccinationPatients who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated
Fully vaccinated visitors or visitors who are medically ineligible* for vaccination​2 pre-registered visitors, with 1 visitor at bedside at any one time, and up to 2 visits each day.​Only critically ill patients may have up to 5 pre-registered visitors, with 2 visitors at bedside at any one time.
Visitors who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated​Only critically ill patients may have up to 5 pre-registered visitors, with 2 visitors at bedside at any one time. ​

*Visitors who are medically ineligible for vaccination must provide acceptable proof of their medical status.

All eligible visitors must produce a self-paid, valid* negative COVID-19 test result obtained within the last 24 hours prior to visiting the wards, unless they:

  • Are a COVID-19 patient who has recovered within the last 270 days with a valid PET exemption memo
  • Are a fully vaccinated COVID-19 patient who has recovered more than 270 days ago

*For fully vaccinated visitors, or visitors who are medically ineligible for vaccination and able to produce acceptable proof of their medical status, a self-paid Antigen Rapid Test (ART) self-administered or supervised by MOH-approved providers (including Quick Test Centres) is acceptable.


For visitors who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated for vaccination, only self-paid Antigen Rapid Tests administered or supervised by MOH-approved providers (including Quick Test Centres) are acceptable. Please refer to go.gov.sg/swabproviders for the list of MOH-approved providers.


Anyone entering the hospital premises must complete the Declaration Form and check-in to the SafeEntry system with the TraceTogether app or token. Under the Infectious Diseases Act, it is an offence to provide false information.

Inpatients at general wards can only receive 1 pre-registered visitor for the duration of their admission, and only 1 visit by the visitor each day.

Only 1 accompanying visitor per patient is allowed at our outpatient centres/ clinics and A&E. For specific groups of patients, e.g. critically ill, up to 5 pre-registered visitors are allowed with 2 visitors at the patient’s bedside at any one time. Each visitor may only visit once per day.

Please do not visit the hospital if you:

  • have flu-like symptoms (e.g. fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, breathlessness or loss of taste / smell etc.)
  • are issued Medical Certificates (MCs), Persons Under Quarantine (PUQs) and persons on Home Quarantine Order (HQO)
  • are under 12 years old

OR in the last 14 days, you had:

  • Travelled outside of Singapore
  • Close contact with someone who is a confirmed COVID-19 case or is part of a COVID-19 cluster

All visitors are to observe the following:

  • Register daily at the registration counter for entry to wards
  • Keep your visit duration to 20 minutes
  • Wear your mask at all times – this should be masks with good filtration capability
  • Ensure good hand hygiene
  • Maintain a safe distance and avoid interaction with other patient or visitors
  • Do not eat or drink within the wards
  • Refrain from using the patient toilets in the wards and avoid sitting on patient beds

From 18 May, please do not visit the hospital if you:

- Have flu-like symptoms (e.g. fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat,  breathlessness or loss of taste / smell etc.)
