As head of the HSR department, Hong Choon is responsible for developing health services research in CGH to support management decision-making and to deliver the best patient outcomes through translating data into evidence to guide decision making. His research interests are in the areas of discrete event simulation, system dynamics, optimisation under uncertainty and cost effectiveness evaluation.

Dr Pwee conducts health technology assessment (HTA) to inform decision-making on the use of health technologies in CGH.
