Aim

The Health Services Research (HSR) department was established in 2011 with the aim of providing analytical and research support for evidence-based management and clinical decision making at Changi General Hospital (CGH).

What is Health Services Research?

Health services research examines how people get access to health care, how much care costs, and care-associated patient outcomes. The main goals of health services research are to identify the most effective ways to:

• Organise, manage, finance, and deliver quality care
• Reduce medical errors
• Improve patient safety

What do we do?

Projects that the HSR team are involved in can be broadly categorised into four main domains:

• Analytics/data science
• Health technology assessment
• Programme evaluation
• Investigator initiated research
