Dr Foong Wei Sheng is a Consultant with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He specialises in open and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder and elbow joints. Conditions include rotator cuff tears and shoulder instability pathology. He is trained in general Orthopaedic procedures involving complex intra-articular fractures and nerve compression conditions.
Dr Foong obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and subsequently obtained his Masters in Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery). He was conferred membership to the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2021. He currently serves as a specialist board accredited Orthopaedic surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Changi General Hospital, Singapore.
Dr Foong is actively involved in the education of medical undergraduates and serves as clinical instructor in Duke-NUS Medical School, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He has also published and presented scientific research work in established international journals and international conferences.
As a former competitive athlete. Dr Foong understands the demands of individuals in sports. He is constantly striving to innovate and advance his field of specialty.
