​How can counselling benefit you?

Adversity is a part of life. Everyone has the capacity to achieve a healthy balance in managing relationships and workplace demands. Some of us may require additional support when a situation causes overwhelming distress.

 

A proactive approach in seeking help is a sign of strength to better cope, build personal resilience and cultivate mental wellness. The benefits of counselling include:

What to expect in your first counselling session?

During the first session, our counsellor will:

  • Explain the counselling process
  • Ask about your current challenges
  • Conduct a mental health screening
  • Explore counselling goals with you
  • Work on presenting issues using varied therapeutic modalities

At the end of the first session, our counsellor will:

  • Review your perception and experience of the session
  • Provide psychoeducation
  • Discuss insights and strategies to improve your mental well-being
  • Set a follow-up appointment if required

 

 

 

  

Counselling services are by appointment only. We require a medical referral from patients who wish to use our services.
