Digital Diabetic Retinopathy Photography

Digital diabetic retinopathy photography allows for early detection and management of eye problems caused by diabetes.

Diabetic Foot Screening

Diabetic foot screening helps patients identify early foot abnormalities and reduce the morbidity associated with diabetes.

Nurse Counselling and Education

Patient education is a vital part of the diabetes management plan. Nurse counselling and education includes:

  • Diet and lifestyle education
  • Insulin therapy skills

Dietetic Services

Dietetic counselling aims to promote healthy eating habits to reduce the risk of diet-related diseases. Dietary management is part of the treatment plan in the management of conditions such as diabetes.

Musculoskeletal conditions

Our physiotherapists provide assessment and treatment of sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions such as back pain, neck pain, strains and sprains.

Conditions suitable for musculoskeletal physiotherapy include:

  • Back pain (lower back)
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Knee injuries (e.g. ligament/meniscal injuries)
  • Neck pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Fracture and other post-operative orthopaedic management

Falls risk assessment and balance training

Our physiotherapists provide assessment and treatment for patients with poor balance who are at risk of falling to improve their safety and mobility. Falls can cause serious injuries leading to loss of independent ability to walk and move, and deterioration of health.

Prevention is key, and physiotherapists:

  • Assess and identify patients with high risk of falling e.g. patients with history of stroke, Parkinson’s Disease
  • Prescribe a physical conditioning programme to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls
  • Provide advice on the appropriate use of walking aids and advice on home modifications to prevent falls
