Yinjie graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic as the top student and was awarded both the Ministry of Health Gold Medal (outstanding performance in the course of study) and the Singapore Physiotherapy Association Prize (best performance in clinical practice). She started her career in Singapore General Hospital while pursuing her degree, which exposed her to different disciplines in physiotherapy.
Having worked in various settings, Yinjie has treated a wide spectrum of clients from the young to the elderly for musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, geriatric and neurological conditions.
She was previously a national canoeist and although she has now retired from the sport, she now swims and exercises regularly to keep fit.
