Wendy graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic as the Top Student with a Ministry of Health Gold Medal for outstanding performance in the course of study. She then continued her studies at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2008. She was previously a SingHealth Health Science Scholar and had started her physiotherapy career in KK
Women’s and Children’s Hospital in 2008.
In 2015, Wendy attained her Master degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland. She is a titled member of the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia (MPA) group, which is a national group under Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). APA Titled physiotherapists are regarded as highly qualified physiotherapists with expert knowledge and skills
in their area of practice.
Wendy gained extensive experience in the management of a wide spectrum of adult, adolescent, pediatric & women’s health musculoskeletal conditions, as well as sports related injuries and post-operative conditions. She is also one of the very few accredited SpineCor brace and physiotherapy treatment provider for adolescent & juvenile idiopathic scoliosis in Singapore. She has been a recipient of various service awards - The Singapore Health Quality Service Silver Award (2010-2011), Service from the Heart Award (2011), and The Singapore Health Quality Service Gold Award (2011-2012).
Outside of clinical work, Wendy is a part- time lecturer/ clinical instructor at HMI Institute of Health Science Pte Ltd training therapy assistants in the WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Therapy support). She loves working with various age groups and believes firmly in making every patient’s rehabilitation journey a good experience.
