Huiwen obtained her Diploma in Occupational Therapy from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2002 and her Bachelor's degree from Curtin University, Western Australia, in 2005. She developed a strong interest in hand therapy and began specialising in the area since 2004. In 2011, she attained her Master’s in Advanced Occupational Therapy from New York University, with a focus on upper limb
rehabilitation.
For the past ten years, she has been working with clients who have sustained acute or chronic conditions of the upper limb through trauma, sports or work. In her leisure time, Huiwen enjoys salsa dancing and travelling.
