The Singapore Healthcare Engineering Forum is an annual event jointly organized by the four major engineering societies in Singapore – IEEE-EMBS, IEEE-WIE, IES-BETC and the Biomedical Engineering Society (Singapore).
This year’s forum was held online on the 3rd December 2021 with various speakers covering areas on robotics, AI, interoperability and regulatory and quality management. Director of CHART, Adjunct Assistant Professor Selina Seah, kick-started this year’s event by delivering the keynote speech on "Transformation in Healthcare Enabled by Emerging Technologies". She shared on the trends of healthcare technologies and how healthcare can be transformed with suitable adoption.
CHART robotics engineers Alphonsus Tay and Chee Keai Jiang also presented on the technical details of Robotic Middleware for Healthcare (RoMi-H) in enabling robot fleet interoperability, traffic management and universal charging. Additionally, there were insightful exchanges on the topics between both participants and presenters.
CHART is proud of being part of this informative forum in sharing and proliferating new, enabling technologies in the healthcare sector!
