As Public Healthcare Institutions (PHIs) look to cater for healthcare needs of the future, smart technologies such as robotics and IoT have a growing presence in care settings to augment and transform the daily work of clinical and operations professionals. Interoperability will be paramount to ensure timely information flows across systems and people, such that resources are optimally made available throughout the campus, and for prompt decision-making.
The Centre for Healthcare Assistive & Robotics Technology (CHART), together with our partners, have developed the Robotics Middleware for Healthcare (RoMi-H). Integration to RoMi-H facilitates interoperability of diverse systems and devices. RoMi-H is based on the initial conceptualised Robotics Middleware Framework (RMF) with Open Robotics (OpenRMF). The Ministry of Health has recognised the RoMi-H for all PHIs as the integration platform for automation. This platform will be deployed by partners to accelerate software, robotics development and automation adoption in the Public Healthcare sector as it provides standardization and code-reusability for an integrated and seamless approach for deployment. Integration of robotics, software and IoT systems deployed in Public Healthcare will communicate via RoMi-H.
The integration via RoMi-H is to be undertaken by an empanelled System Integrator (SI) who is certified to be capable of doing so. To ensure the quality and competency of the System Integrators, CHART organizes a bi-annual RoMi-H Empanelment Program, for which the objective is to assess / re-assess the System Integrator's ability to deploy RoMi-H. Applicants will undergo a series of evaluations, encompassing both technical expertise and deployment knowledge. Successful applicants will be certified as empanelled RoMi-H System Integrators.
Successfully empanelled SIs will be published on the CHART website and this will allow PHIs and potential collaborators to contact empanelled SIs for participation in Request For Proposal or Information (RFP/RFI).
The following companies are certified as Empanelled System Integrator (SI), in no order of merit but in alphabetical order, with effect from 1 May 2025 with a two-year validity:
Hope Technik Pte Ltd |
Medisys Innovation Pte Ltd |
OTSAW Digital Pte Ltd |
