Profile

Dr Wan Kaijing is a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital. She attended medical school at Monash University in Melbourne and is a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Surgeons.

She feels privileged to care for women throughout all stages of their life, enjoying this diversity, and also greatly valuing the relationships she develops with her patients. She is part of the nationwide KidSTART program, which aims to improve pregnancy outcomes for women in lower socioeconomic groups.

She also wants to improve access of O&G care for all women and is developing her special interest area in Early Pregnancy and Gynaecological Ultrasound Scans. This will improve efficiency for women by allowing rapid and accurate correlation between clinical, imaging and surgical findings.

She has a keen interest in patient safety and strongly believes that good education & mentorship is essential to ensure safe clinical practice amongst junior doctors. As a mother, she enjoys cooking and having a great time with her family and dog.
