LATEST - Issue 146 (Jan/Feb 17)
Feeling good about our physical appearance translates into greater self-confidence. As the famous saying goes, “when you look good, you feel good”. Fortunately, you don’t need to spend a lot or have an expensive makeover to look good; it starts with taking care of yourself and being in the pink of health.
For those who would like to achieve healthy, glowing skin, our dermatologist talks about what you can do about common skincare problems (page 2).
In light of World Cancer Day – a global event that takes place on 4 February every year to raise awareness about cancer – we debunk some misconceptions about breast cancer and share the story of a woman who overcame this disease (page 10). We hope that this will serve as an inspiration to those currently battling cancer.
In other sections, you will also find tips on guilt-free feasting during Chinese New Year (page 19), and an interesting feature on testosterone deficiency syndrome (TDS) and how it affects a person’s body and well-being (page 20). We also talk about the renewed partnership between Eastern Health Alliance (EHA) and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) as they continue to focus on medical innovations and talent development in healthcare engineering (page 16).
Happy reading and stay healthy!
