​GPFirst Programme

GPFirst aims to encourage people with mild to moderate medical conditions to visit their GPs first, rather than going direct to the A&E. Residents who visits a GPFirst Participating Clinic receives a $50 subsidy on the prevailing A&E attendance fee when they require a referral to CGH A&E. Direct GP Referral for Spirometry Tests

Spirometry Lung Function Test is available for direct GP referral. The scheduling of these spirometry referral from GPs is currently done on Monday mornings only. Patients will be informed to personally collect the finalised reports from the clinic when they are ready.

Spirometry is the most frequently performed lung function test to aid diagnosis, assess severity and monitor the response to treatment for conditions such as Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 5:00pm

Saturday: 8:30am to 12:30pm (Closed on Sunday and Public Holidays)

The referring memo should have the following information:

• the test required, and
• the doctor and clinic’s name stamp, and
• the clinic’s address, telephone and fax numbers

Community Health Centres

Community Health Centres provides Provision of Digital Diabetic Retinopathy Photography (DRP), Diabetic Foot Screening (DFS), Nurse Counselling and Education, Dietetic Services and Physiotherapy to the community through GP’s referral. For more information, click here.
