The feeling of satisfaction and joy by making a positive contribution to our community is one felt by our CGH volunteers, "Friends of CGH". By joining our devoted and caring group of volunteers, you too will feel the inspiration of both the CGH volunteers and the peoples' lives that they touch and brighten in their volunteer work.
Here's how you can contribute:
We believe that if you have a caring heart, you can make a positive difference. We believe that if you want to be involved in your community, we have the opportunities. We believe that if you are sincere in participating, we can achieve more together.
Our volunteer programme, "Friends of CGH", is about caring members of the public working hand in hand with us to achieve this goal. Being in the team gives you countless opportunities to develop your natural talents and skills. At the same time, you are being a thoughtful and contributing member of the community. The intrinsic reward of lending a helping hand lasts a lifetime.
If you feel inspired to contribute in some way, do check out our list of volunteer opportunities available. Please fill out our application form and we will contact you for our next round of recruitment.

Together in one mission, because we care.
Our volunteers are an extension of the CGH family. Retirees and housewives can be involved in Charity bazaars, while student groups who want to get involved in our backroom work can help out with surveys, porterage and administrative tasks. Volunteers with limited time on their hands can participate in projects such as our Public Forums and year-end events.
The range of opportunities we have will be increasing in the near future. Please refer to the table below for the latest update:
1. How frequent must I volunteer? This is entirely up to you. We would prefer that you volunteer at least once a week for a 3-month period.
2. What if my schedule changes subsequently? This is not a problem. We can work out a new timing that will suit you and the activity you are volunteering for.
3. Can I still volunteer if I do not have a fixed schedule? You can always volunteer for our projects such as public forums.
4. Will I get the necessary training before I start? We will usually match our volunteers with activities that are suited to their background and preference. All volunteers will have to go through an orientation conducted by the Volunteer Programme Committee. From time to time, we will also organise talks and training for our volunteers. These will be beneficial to their volunteer commitments, or even their personal development.
