General Visiting Guidelines

  • Register daily at the registration counter for entry to wards.
  • Wear a mask with good filtration capability at all times. These include reusable masks that are made up of at least two layers of fabric, or surgical masks.
  • If treatment is required for the patient, our staff may ask visitors to leave.
  • Children under the age of 12 will not be allowed to visit inpatients. Exceptions will be made for certain groups of patients such as critically-ill inpatients, palliative inpatients and inpatients with special needs.
  • Be considerate and keep noise levels down. Noise is a source of stress that interrupts patients' sleep and rest.
  • Minimise interaction with other patients or visitors.
  • All visitors are not allowed to consume any food or drinks within the ward.
  • Refrain from using the patient toilets in the wards and avoid sitting on patient beds.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water, or sanitise them with alcohol rub before and after visiting a patient.
  • Switch your mobile phone to "SILENT" mode, and speak softly on the phone to avoid disturbing patients. In the ICU, mobile phones cannot be used within 2 metres of any medical equipment.
  • Smoking or drinking alcohol is not allowed on hospital premises.
  • Do not visit if you are feeling unwell.
