The Division of Endocrinology provides a wide range of services for the management of Diabetes Mellitus as well as hormonal disorders.

Our Diabetes Centre, staffed by endocrinologists, diabetes nurse educators, podiatrists and dieticians, offer consultation as well as all the necessary support services for diabetic patients.

Apart from specialist clinics that care for those with complicated cases and difficult-to-control diabetes, we also have a unique one-stop Full Diabetes Assessment package, consisting of blood tests (glycated haemoglobin, creatinine, cholesterol and glucose levels), urinary microalbuminuria, retinal photography, podiatry assessment, dietary review, diabetes counselling, followed by final review by an endocrinologist.

All diabetic patients, including those under the care of family physicians and the polyclinics, are strongly advised to undergo a Full Assessment annually to monitor their overall condition.

Our Diabetes Centre has also initiated a Chronic Care Programme to co-manage diabetic patients with stable disease with participating family physicians by keeping track of their progress through the annual Full Assessment, and providing quick access to support services should the need arise.
