Q. How do I make an appointment
to see a medical specialist at CGH?
A. Our International Medical Services officers will assist
you in scheduling appointments. You may make enquiry or appointment
for your first consultation visit through:
Q. What information do I need to
provide to make the first appointment?
A. You will need to provide us the following details:
- Name (as in your passport)
- Passport number
- Current address
- Contact phone number
- Date of birth
- Notes on your medical problem
- Preferred date of appointment
Alternatively, you can also send us an online
enquiry / appointment booking form.
Q. If I do not have a specific
doctor in mind, will you be able to recommend a doctor?
A. Yes, we will be able to recommend a suitable doctor based
on your medical condition.
Q. What documents do I need to bring
with me for my first appointment?
A. For your first appointment, please bring along your any
medical records/history, x-rays, current medication, and all
relevant information pertaining to your medical condition.
If a doctor has referred you to CGH, please bring along the
contact details of the referring doctor.
Q. Do I need a doctor's referral
from my home country?
A. No, you do not need a doctor’s referral from your
home country. Please feel free to contact our International
Medical Services to schedule an appointment.
Q. Do I need a visa to enter Singapore
to seek medical treatment?
A. Patients from ASEAN countries (except Myanmar) do not
need a visa to enter Singapore. For the list of countries
where nationals require a visa to enter Singapore, please
check the Immigration & Checkpoint Authority (ICA) website
at http://app.ica.gov.sg/travellers/entry/visa_requirements.asp
Q. If my treatment requires me to
enter Singapore several times, do I need a visa for subsequent
visits?
A. You can apply for a multiple-entry visa with the Immigration
& Checkpoint Authority (ICA). The hospital can issue a
letter to support your application, if necessary.
Q. Will I be informed of the medical
costs associated with my treatment before I come to Singapore?
A. We will give you the estimated medical costs based on
the medical report you provide us. Should there be a revision
to the estimated charges following your first consultation
with the doctor, we will inform you again of the revised estimated
medical costs.
Q. Is there accommodation near
the hospital for my family members?
A. Yes, we will help you find a hotel based on your budget

Q. I do not speak English, Mandarin
or Malay. Can you arrange for translators?
A. Yes. Please inform our International Medical Services
officers when your appointment at the hospital is confirmed.
The translation service will be chargeable.
Q. Can your hospital cater for
special dietary needs?
A. Yes. Please inform our International Medical Services
officers when you are admitted. Our hospital’s kitchen
is also halal-certified.
