The Centre for Innovation & Precision Eye Health invites you to the “Innovation and Precision Eye Health Webinar Series”.
Dr. Sangwan will present his journey in innovation, beginning with the launch of an engineering and eye health program at LVPEI in 2013, in collaboration with MIT Boston and BITS Pilani. He will highlight the achievements of the LVPEI innovation centre, now in its 10th year, which supports product development and eye health start-ups.
Key breakthroughs include the development of SLET (Simple Limbal Epithelial Transplantation), an affordable and globally adopted technique for treating limbal stem cell deficiency. He will also discuss the creation of CURED (Centre for Unknown and Rare Eye Diseases), current innovation at SCEH, and advances in developing the Liquid Cornea, a bioengineered solution to address corneal blindness and the shortage of donor corneas.
