Clinical Research Study 2
CTRU is currently taking part in a 5-year international research study being conducted in about 240 centres in 25 countries. The aim of this study is to evaluate the safety of a non-steroidal dermatological cream (ie study cream) versus steroidal cream in the management of signs and symptoms of atopic dermatitis (also known as eczema) in patients aged between 3 and 12 months. Approximately 2,350 infants worldwide will be taking part in this study. This study cream has been approved for use in children (above 2 years of age), adolescents and adults, in over 60 countries, including Singapore.

Who is eligible?
Your child may be able to join the study if:
• he/she has been diagnosed with mild to moderate eczema*
• he/she is aged between 3 to less than 12 months
*Please consult your doctor for a diagnosis of your child's eczema

What is involved?
You will be required to periodically bring your child back for clinic visits over 5 years. Your child's vital signs (i.e. blood pressure and pulse) will be measured at the visits. In between these visits, you will also be contacted by telephone to ensure well being of your child. Study-related consultations, examinations and medications will be provided to your child free of charge, and you will be reimbursed for your transport expenses.

To learn more about the study, please contact the Research Coordinator, who will further assess your child's suitability for this study:
