What's On at CGH

Singapore's First Online Interactive
Health Education System

CGH publishes a wide variety of health education brochures to enable patients who proactively seeks information to understand their medical conditions and treatment.

On 28 October 2002, the Interactive Patient Guide (IPG) breaks new ground by offering information and advice online beyond the print medium using multimedia tools and video clips. It is designed in an user-friendly format, with language options and links to health-related sites.

The IPG, a collaborative effort by a team of 11 CGH doctors, nurses and hospital staff, aims to provide our patients with an alternative medium to health-related information. It enhances patients' counselling by letting them see for themselves the steps of a surgical procedure and allows them to absorb the information at their own time and pace.

Patients can view the procedures of a gastroscopy using the Interactive Patient Guide

Patients can view the IPG at the Health Education Centre and Specialist Clinics C, F, M and R. Patients can also choose to view the IPG video clips from the comforts of home through the CGH website at www.cgh.com.sg. More than 70 CGH health educational brochures are also posted online for patients' easy reference.
