The hospital’s services are housed under a nine-storey building with a gross area of 127,070 square metres. Occupying a land area of 5.2 hectares, the hospital has 26 wards with a total of 790 beds. Twenty-two specialist clinics with a total of almost 100 consultation rooms cater to the outpatient needs of the community.

Changi General Hospital has been designed to optimise manpower, energy, and land. The wards are located in tower blocks that have a north-south orientation, minimising direct sunlight while capitalising on the north-east and south-east prevailing wind directions.

This hospital is well equipped with modern technology such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Spiral Computed Tomography (CT) Scan and Cardiac Catheterisation. There are also labour saving technologies, which maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency. These include Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), Pneumatic Tube and Pneumatic Chute Systems.

The interior design is colourful and intentionally non-institutional looking to cheer patients. Landscaped gardens and water features create a green and tranquil environment conducive to patients’ recovery and rehabilitation. Colourful flower motifs blossom throughout the hospital, giving it a vibrant, cheerful, and friendly ambience.

The attention paid to detail and to the well being of patients by our staff, underline the hospital's philosophy. CGH constantly strives for a quality culture, a culture that stresses on continuous improvements and excellence in patient care and services.
